The Kawasaki FJ180V PRO is a 0.18 l (179 cc, 10.9 cu-in) single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine with vertical shaft manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries LTd., for general-purpose applications.
The FJ180V PRO engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design; cast iron cylinder liner; internally vented carburetor; CDI ignition system; combined crankcase design; metal engine shroud; rotating grass screen. The engine uses dual-element air cleaner and pressurized lubrication system with spin-on oil filter as an option.
A 65.0 mm (2.56 in) cylinder bore and 54.0 mm (2.13 in) piston stroke give the motor a total of 179 cc of displacement. Compression ratio rating is 8.5:1. The Kawasaki FJ180V PRO motor produced 4.6 PS (3.4 kW; 4.5 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum horsepower and 10.0 Nm (1.02 kg·m; 7.4 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.
