
The FH601V has V-twin 90° design with cast iron cylinder liners and overhead V-valves (OHV). The engine is equipped with twin barrel, float type carburetor with fixed main jet; pulse type fuel pump and flywheel magneto transistor type ignition system. The Kawasaki FH601V uses a full pressure lubrication system with spin-on oil filter and dual element air cleaner.
The engine has BENDIX type electric starter and 12V-13A charging coil with a regulator.
Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 72.5 mm (2.85 in) and 76.0 mm (2.99 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 8.1:1. The Kawasaki FH601V produced 19.3 PS (14.2 kW; 19.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm and 50.2 Nm (5.1 kg·m; 37.0 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.

What is the shaft size on this engine?
I have a kalasaki FH601V..it has developed a growling sound in the back of the engine…around the lipstick area..engine has ran perfectly, still does …doesn’t have any metal shavings in the oil…Any ideas?
