The Kawasaki FJ100D is a 0.1 l (98 cc, 5.98 cu-in) single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine with horizontal shaft manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries LTd., for general-purpose applications.
The FJ100D engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design; cast iron cylinder liner; float type carburetor with fixed main jet; flywheel magneto transistor type ignition system; mechanical governor and recoil starter with an automatic compression release. The engine uses semi-wet type air cleaner.
Bore and stroke are 56.0 mm (2.2 in) and 40.0 mm (1.57 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 8.3:1. The Kawasaki FJ100D motor produced 3.0 PS (2.2 kW; 3.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum horsepower (SAE J1349 Net power is 2.5 HP; 1.9 kW) and 4.9 Nm (0.5 kg·m; 3.6 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.
