The Kawasaki FJ180D is a 0.18 l (179 cc, 10.9 cu-in) single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine with horizontal shaft manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries LTd., for general-purpose applications.
The FJ180D engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design; spherical combustion chamber; cast iron cylinder liner; dual ball bearing main journals; K-Twin balancer; float type carburetor with fixed main jet; CDI ignition system; mechanical governor and recoil starter with an automatic compression release. The engine uses a dual-element air filter.
A 65.0 mm (2.56 in) cylinder bore and 54.0 mm (2.13 in) piston stroke give the motor a total of 179 cc of displacement. Compression ratio rating is 8.4:1. The Kawasaki FJ180D motor produced 5.6 PS (4.1 kW; 5.5 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum horsepower and 11.0 Nm (1.12 kg·m; 8.12 ft·lb) at 3,200 rpm of torque.
