The Kubota D905 is a 0.9 L (898 cc, 54.8 cu-in) straight-three, water-cooled naturally aspirated diesel engine from Kubota 05-series.
The Kubota D905 engine has a spherical type сombustion сhamber with glow plug, Bosch MD type mini fuel injection pump, and mini injection nozzle. The compression ratio rating is 22.0:1 for the early version (D905-B(E)) or 23.0:1 for the later versions (EPA Tier 2, 3, 4). The cylinder bore and the piston stroke are 72.0 mm (2.83 in) and 73.6 mm (2.90 in), respectively. The D905 diesel engine produced up to 23.8 PS (17.5 kW; 23.5 HP) at 3,600 rpm of net horsepower and 52.8 N·m (5.4 kg·m, 38.9 ft·lb) at 2,400 rpm of torque.

Did you ever find one? I have one that runs perfect. The generator is no good but the motor is great.
Like Lars Oster above, I acquired a very good Coleman Rite-Lite light plant with a Kubota D 905-E to use as a backup generator down here in Hurricane alley in Texas.
