Subaru-Robin EX17D

Subaru-Robin EX17DThe Subaru-Robin EX17D is a 169 cc (10.31 cu-in) single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine manufactured by Industrial Products division of Subaru Corporation for general-purpose applications.

The Subaru-Robin EX17D engine has an OHС (overhead camshaft) design; high compression ratio for better fuel efficiency; horizontal draft, float type carburetor; recoil starter or electric starter as option and transistorized magneto ignition system.

Bore and stroke are 67.0 mm (2.64 in) and 48.0 mm (1.89 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 8.5:1. The engine produced 5.7 PS (4.2 kW; 5.6 HP) at 4,000 rpm of maximum horsepower and 3.5 PS (2.6 kW; 3.5 HP) at 3,000 rpm or 3.9 PS (2.9 kW; 3.9 HP) at 3,600 rpm of continuous output power. Maximum torque is 11.3 N·m (1.2 kg·m, 8.3 ft·lb) at 2,500 rpm.
