The Kubota ZB400 is a 400 cc (24.4 cu·in) straight-two, water-cooled horizontal naturally aspirated diesel engine manufactured by Kubota since 1980.
The Kubota ZB400 engine used pre-combustion (TVCS) combustion method. The cylinder bore is 64.0 mm (2.52 in) and the piston stroke is 62.2 mm (2.45 in).
The ZB400 diesel engine produced 10.6 PS (7.83 KW; 10.5 HP) at 3,200 rpm of gorss horsepower and 9.1 PS (6.71 KW; 9.0 HP) at 3,200 rpm of net intermittent power.
