Briggs and Stratton 40H777The Briggs and Stratton 40H777 is a 656 cc (40.0 cu·in) V-twin air-cooled four-stroke internal combustion gasoline engine, manufactured by Briggs and Stratton.

The B&S 40H777 engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design and a vertical PTO shaft. This engine is equipped with float type carburetor and an electronic ignition system. The B&S 40H777 engine used Dual-Clean air cleaner (paper element with a foam pre-cleaner).

The cylinder bore is 75.44 mm (2.97 in) and the piston stroke is 73.40 mm (2.89 in). This engine produced 22.3 PS (16.4 kW; 22.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower.
