The Honda GX80 is a 79.7 cc (4.88 cu-in) single-cylinder inclined by 25° air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine manufactured by Honda Motor Company for general-purpose applications.
The Honda GX80 engine has an OHС (overhead camshaft) design, horizontal type carburetor with butterfly valve, recoil starter and transistorized magneto ignition system.
Cylinder bore and piston stroke are 46.0 mm (1.81 in) and 48.0 mm (1.89 in), respectively. Compression ratio rating is 9.0:1. The GX80 engine produces 2.0 PS (1.5 kW; 2.0 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower and 4.5 N·m (0.5 kg·m, 3.3 ft·lb) at 2,500 rpm of torque.
