Toyota 2F

Toyota 2FThe Toyota 2F is a 4.2 L (4,230 cc, 258.1 cu·in) straight-six, four-stroke cycle natural aspirated gasoline engine from the Toyota F-family. The engine was manufactured by the Toyota Motor Corporation from 1975 to 1988.

The Toyota 2F engine features a cast-iron block, cast-iron cylinder head with a gear driven camshaft and two valves per cylinder (12 in total). It has an 94.0 mm (3.7 in) cylinder bore and 101.6 mm (4 in) piston stroke. The compression ratio rating is 7.8:1. The 2F engine used down draft, two-barrel carburetor and ignition system with contact breaker.

This engine produced from 125.0 PS (92.0 kW; 123.4 HP) at 3,500 rpm to 140.0 PS (103 kW; 138.1 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower and from 271.0 N·m (27.6 kg·m, 200.0 ft·lb) at 1,800 rpm to 294.0 N·m (30.0 kg·m, 216.7 ft·lb) at 1,800 rpm of peak torque (depending on application and market).

The breakdown of the engine code is as follows:

  • 2 – 2nd generation engine
  • F – Engine family
