The Zongshen GB270 is a 272 cc, (16.60 cu·in) single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion small gasoline engine, from GB-series manufactured by Zongshen Power Co. for general-purpose applications.
The Zongshen GB270 engine has an overhead valve (OHV) design, carburetor fuel system, transistorized ignition system, and recoil or electric starter. A 75.0 mm (2.95 in) cylinder bore and 61.5 mm (2.42 in) piston stroke give the motor a total of 272 cc of displacement.
The Zongshen ZS GB270 produced 8.0 PS (5.8 kW; 7.8 HP) at 3,600 rpm of maximum output power and 15.5 Nm (1.58 kg·m; 11.44 ft·lb) of maximum torque.
