Kohler XT-8

Kohler XT-8The Kohler XT-8 is a 173 cc (10.6 cu·in) single-cylinder air-cooled four-stroke internal combustion gasoline engine from the Courage XT series, manufactured by Kohler Co.

The Kohler XT8 engine has an OHV (overhead valve) design, an aluminum block with cast iron cylinder liners, vertical PTO-shaft, splash type lubrication system. This engine is equipped with a fixed main jet carburetor and dependable electronic magneto ignition system.

A 70.0 mm (2.75 in) cylinder bore and 45.0 mm (1.80 in) piston stroke give the XT-8 engine a total of 173 cc of displacement. The compression ratio rating is 8.5:1.

This engine produces 5.3 PS (3.9 KW; 5.2 HP) at 3,600 rpm of horsepower and 10.8 Nm (1.1 kg·m; 8.0 ft·lb) at 2,800 rpm of peak torque.
