The Rato ATW250 (RW171FMM) is a 229.6 cc (14.01 cu-in) single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion vertical motorcycle engine, manufactured by Chongqing RATO Holding (Group) CO., LTD.
The Rato ATW250 is a new engine designed specifically for beach buggy with high safety factor. The engine uses transmission of inbuilt arc bevel gear free of maintenance, pollution with high efficiency and inbuilt balance system with little vibration and high-level comfortableness. The engine is equipped with capacitance discharge ignition system (CDI), electric or kick starter and 5-speed gearbox.
The engine cylinder bore is 71.0 mm (2.79 in) and piston stroke is 58.0 mm (2.28 in). The ATW250 (RW171FMM) produced 14.9 PS (11.0 kW; 14.7 HP) at 7,000 rpm of maximum horsepower and 15.5 N·m (1.58 kg·m, 11.4 ft·lb) at 6,000 rpm of torque.
