The Rato CGP125 (RW157FMI) is a 124.1 ml (7.6 cu-in) single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke internal combustion vertical motorcycle engine from Rato CGP-series, manufactured by Chongqing RATO Holding (Group) CO., LTD.
The Rato CGP125 engine uses the front structure of balance shaft to reduce engine vibration and improve stability; hot charging technique of crank and case to reduce the crank noise and extend lifetime. The engine is equipped with capacitance discharge ignition system (CDI), electric or kick starter and 5-speed gearbox with a manual wet multi-plate clutch.
The engine cylinder bore is 56.5 mm (2.22 in) and piston stroke is 49.5 mm (1.95 in). The CGP125 (RW157FMI) produced 9.8 PS (7.2 kW; 9.7 HP) at 8,500 rpm of maximum horsepower and 8.6 N·m (0.87 kg·m, 6.34 ft·lb) of torque at 7,000 rpm.
