
The Rato CGS125 engine uses the light piston to reduce the reciprocating inertia of piston motion and improve the engine performance; capacitance discharge ignition system and electric or kick start. The engine is equipped with a 5-speed gearbox.
The engine cylinder bore is 56.5 mm (2.22 in) and piston stroke is 49.8 mm (1.96 in). The CGS125 (RW157FMI) produced 10.5 PS (7.7 kW; 10.3 HP) at 8,500 rpm of maximum horsepower and 9.0 N·m (0.92 kg·m, 6.64 ft·lb) of torque at 7,000 rpm.
