Nissan FD46The Nissan FD46 is a 4.6 l (4,617 cc, 281.75 cu·in) straight-four, water-cooled naturally aspirated diesel engine from Nissan FD family. The engine was manufactured by UD Trucks (Nissan Diesel) from 1991 to 1995.

The Nissan FD46 has a cast-iron cylinder block, a cylinder head with OHV (overhead valves with single camshaft), two valves per cylinder (8 in total) and a direct fuel injection system.

A 108.0 mm (4.25 in) cylinder bore and 126.0 mm (4.96 in) piston stroke give the FD46 engine a total of 4617 cc of displacement. The compression ratio rating is 18.0:1. This engine produced 135 PS (99 kW; 133 HP) at 3,000 rpm of horsepower and 329 N·m (33.5 kg·m, 242.5 ft·lb) at 1,800 rpm of torque.

    I have an ed33 engine in a Nissan cabsta my problem now is bit old I want to that can I put FD46 and what else can I change in truck

    • If you want to swap with Fd 46 instead of Sd 33 engine you will need intermediate flange for 1st Transmission. This is possible on a lathe 2. Check that the Fd 46 engine fits in the Engine house 3. Rebuild the engine mounts. And you will get very good power
