
The Rato CGP150 engine uses the front structure of balance shaft to reduce engine vibration and improve stability; hot charging technique of crank and case to reduce the crank noise and extend lifetime. The engine is equipped with capacitance discharge ignition system (CDI), electric or kick starter and 5-speed gearbox with a manual wet multi-plate clutch.
The engine cylinder bore is 62 mm (2.44 in) and piston stroke is 49.5 mm (1.95 in). The CGP150 (RW162FMJ-4) produced 11.5 PS (8.5 kW; 11.4 HP) at 8,500 rpm of maximum horsepower and 10.0 N·m (1.02 kg·m, 7.37 ft·lb) of torque at 7,000 rpm.
